I screwed up!

Hey Fellow CC'ers!

So, I kinda messed up with college applications...

Let's start with Yale:

I submitted it 5 minutes late. I started the whole submission process at 11:30, and the website just kept loading and loading. Once it was 11:55, the PDF generated, and then payment took a whole 10 minutes. Everything was submitted at 12:05. What should I do? How greatly will this affect my chances?

Now with Stanford and Johns Hopkins:

I'VE BEEN TRYING SINCE 11 PM! I still haven't submitted them. I've been trying constantly to log in, but Common App won't let me in. It keeps saying I have the wrong password, but I'm fairly certain that I don't. Will they spare my and my acceptance? Is there anything I can do to mend the problem?

The funny thing is, in my Common App Essay, I talk about how I started procrastinating less often. Ironic, huh?

Anyway, if you have any information that might calm me down, I'd greatly appreciate. If not, just give it to me gently.

Thanks!

I would email your admissions counselors immediately. I’m not sure how they will react because you’ve had months to complete the apps, but you should take the initiative to email them before they come to any conclusions.

All common app member colleges with a Jan 1 deadline will accept any app submitted on Jan 2. https://twitter.com/commonapp
