I sent my sat scores via collegeboard the day (and the day before) applications are due. Screwed?

I had no clue that the collegeboard mails sat scores to the schools. I always thought it was purely electronic. That’s why I was surprised when I was sending my scores today along with my application. I met my application due dates, but do I need my scores at the college by January 1st?

You should be fine. Most of the schools give an additional time to receive scores, transcripts and recommendation letters. Usually the deadline, Jan 1, is for submitting an application.

Anyone can explain why CollegeBoard is still using ancient method to send scores? In contrast, their main competitor ACT send score ONLY electronically and scores arrive 1-2 days after ordering.
