Hey guys,
So I’m freaking out a bit. If I sent my SAT scores today, and my application deadlines are January 1, am I late/will they not be considered?
I’m scared that my scores aren’t going to be in on time.
Thank you all.

Most schools will allow a delay for supplements and score sends - it’s the application that they want by the deadline. Others insist that scores must arrive by the deadline. The individual policies can be found on the school’s admissions website.
@JBStillFlying Thank you. If my colleges don’t say anything about scores having to be arrived by the deadline, should I assume that I’m okay?
Don’t assume anything. Here’s a good plan of action:
Check each school’s submission policy. A whole bunch are allowing self-reporting. In that case, you are fine - just report via the application or admission portal.
For any school that requires an official score, order on College Board pronto. Depending on the school, they may receive prior to the deadline, they may not. But it doesn’t really matter since most Admissions dept’s are closed this week so they really won’t be processing apps till next week anyway. Guessing that the timing of the holidays and New Years will allow you a grace period, but you can call them next week to ask about that. Schools probably aren’t going to ding an application because the score arrived a day or two after the rest of the application. If it’s there by the time they start reviewing your application, that usually suffices (as long as you took the correct-date SAT for consideration). But call to find out anyway.
@JBStillFlying Sounds good. I am planning on calling all my colleges next week after the holidays. I think College Board will send all my scores within the next few days, so I should be okay. I feel much better about this. Thanks a ton!
