i spoke to Rice yesterday

the lady was like u will hear by April 15th, and i was like ru serious, and she was like sir, ur file was already pulled and is currently being reviewed..and under online account, that is what it says, but then i called back later to see if they got my mid-term, and this younger lady (prob like 20-25), was like no, u will hear by May 15, who do i trust

the other lady was much older, and seemed very knowledgeable, i searched old archives, and it seems that ppl started hearing in late April

Call again or email the director of admissions. That should clear things up about dates.

That is not the best idea; if a date for decisions is officially stated, annoying an admissions officer for an unofficial one will not make a good impression.

Edit: Bball, your account has been saying 'application under review' for at least a week now. It usually takes around 10-20 minutes for an application to be reviewed and decided upon or categorized, with the borderlines being decided in committees.

wait...are we supposed to send mid-terms to Rice?
and yeh on the website, they specifically state the decision date.. so i think all we need to is just wait maybe? hehe dunno

anywayz good luck all~

Its not like they know who calls. They wouldn't ask you who you are if your question is something that applies to everyone. They will be annoyed, but it wouldn't influence your admission..."Hi I applied to transfer to Rice for next fall and I was wondering when we would be notified of the decisions? Thanks a bunch sugar!"

But if they specifically state a date on their website, stick to that date. No need to worry.

bumpty bump
