I still don't really understand this...

Does Syracuse want first marking quarter grades for Regular Decision? That's a little upsetting... I'm doing much better the second quarter.

I just called them up today, and they informed me that they do want first quarter grades. They said there was no sheet, just to send a copy of your transcript.

Sucks that you didn't do well, sorry to hear that. I kinda got lucky and did well.

eatsshootsleaves:According to the college info on commonapp.org, they list the midyear report as the one they want....Where did you see that they want 1st MP? We don't even release those....

I submitted my application already, so I found out when I looked under the "missing materials in your application" part of the website. They really should be clearer about that on the rest of the website! I had no idea about this until after I submitted.

eatsshootsleaves: Were you originally notified that you had stuff missing? My d has not been notified and if it wasn't for your post, she would never have known....... My d is in the exact same position you are in....1st MP was not the best due to a pull out peer leader program that forced her to miss 8 days of MP1......This MP her grades are back to normal...

Does your school produce a progress report 1/2 way through the 2nd MP? If so, you could make a copy of that and send it with the 1st MP grades....Also, if your course rigor was taken up a notch, you could add a small note with your report....(although admissions would acknowledge that)

IMO, unless you are applying to get an early decision, one MP never tell the whole story....Some students always have a rough one, yet pull out A's by the end of the semester..Kind of weird for Syracuse, given that they don't release decisions until April......Only school that will not wait for midyear report.....Did you happen to ask about that? Do they want both?
