I'm pretty boring.. but what do you think about...
Reaches-UVA, UNC-CH, Duke, Boston College
Matches- Bucknell, Richmond
Safety- suggestions would be great!!

Pretty please?!?

oh class rank is at least top 10%.. and GPA is 4.45 W with honors and aps worth 5

u seem right on with reaches and matches
for safeties, im not sure, but maybe penn state

I might be wrong, but based on where I've observed people at our school getting into, I'd venture that Boston College is at least a match if not a safety for you.

The rule of thumb that I've picked up is:
lower-tier (BU, Penn State) colleges are harder to get into than most people think.

higher-tier (lower ivies and comparables) are easier to get into than most people think. nevertheless, they're still harder to get into than lower-tier colleges are, obviously, which is not to say that the difference is that large.

UVA: low reach
UNC-CH: low reach
Duke: reach
Boston College: high match
Bucknell: match
Richmond: low match

I'm very much guesstimating though.

You'll definitely get into most of those colleges

especially:

Boston College
Bucknell
Richmond

You're good at choosing your college choices! Most people over-estimate themselves and end up applying to all-ivy and now getting into any.

Safeties? Penn State, Rutgers University, New York University (not hard to get into at all, especially if you're NOT applying to the Tisch School which a lot of unrealistic theatre geeks who don't get good grades do), Sarah Lawrence College, Vassar, UMaryland

Duke appears to be the only reach.

Thanks guys... I will definitely look into the safeties you suggested.. i would have never thought of some of them... Plus, the parent are prob. making me apply to Penn State so I should be set with safeties.. thanks!
