i think i just screwed myself over...

So I was looking at my application proof out boredom and realized I made a mistake in my second essay: I typed in "our luggage in stuck between our legs." I also sent in this essay along with my pitt application last week. I know the damage is done but how much is this error against my favor? And would I be able to resend my essay with this mistake fixed to pitt...I receive the special status application in which I wasn't required to send in an essay anyways but sent one in for scholarship consideration through email.

I slaved over my QB essays for a month but I guess when I was making last minute edits I didn't catch the mistake:( I cannot believe myself right now...

this is a trivial error. If it is the only typo in your essay it won’t have any bearing on how you are considered. If your application was full of errors that would be another story. Give yourself a break and relax! You have worked hard and it will show. Just make sure to proofread REALLY carefully for the CA and other apps. If you can have someone else read it, even better, bc you probably know the essay so well now that your eyes just skim over the words and don’t catch errors.
