wow o___o looks like a tough decision?
(and excuse my earlier mistake @@)

Berkeley. Disregard the username, ha.

georgetown, michigan ross preferred admit, nyu stern, rutgers full ride

I would pick NU over those schools too
Many excellent schools there; I just think NU offers the most appealing combination of quality of education and quality of life/environment
Very subjective. I couldn't blame anyone for picking one of the other schools.
Having to choose between them would be a "high class problem," as the saying goes

UC Berkeley, LA, Davis, SD
USC
Boston University

My D was accepted in BU, U Pitt, Case and a couple of smaller local schools, and waitlisted in NU.
She had signed up for Case, and when NU came through last week, she took it.

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Vanderbilt
College of William and Mary
Miami (OH)
Truman State University
Grinnell

Chose:
Northwestern MMSS

Over:
U of Chicago
NYU Stern
Georgetown McDonough
WUSTL Olin
UVA
W&M Monroe Scholar
Emory College

i strongly agree with WCASParent, good point

"I just think NU offers the most appealing combination of quality of education and quality of life/environment"

this is something a lot of the ivies dont even have. NU has a very well-rounded student body with a diversity of talent and backgrounds. i liek being around so many high-achievers in such a vast variety of disciplines. being around Big 10 athletes is also refreshing. and the social scene at NU trumps most other Top 20 schools-- tons of undergrads love to party and have fun, which is indicated by the fact that 1/3 of the campus is Greek

that said, i dont think anyone would pick NU over a top ivy, unless youre HPME/MMSS

USC, UMich-ann arbor, carnegie mellon, UC Irvine (it was a tough choice har har), BU

my friend turned down cornell for nu

^^^
your friend must be pretty dumb.

Not really- I know plenty of people who've made that choice.

lol cornell popped in just in time to make that comment.
