So, where did you turn down for UCLA?

Follow this format:

1) College graduating year

2) Schools turned down

3) Reason for choosing UCLA

So, I'll start!

1) UCLA '12

2) U-Michigan, U-Virginia, Boston College, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, U-Wisconsin, U-Oregon (substantial scholarship), U-Washington; took name off waitlist at Notre Dame and UNC-Chapel Hill

3) Received scholarship money and honors program invite; made large school seem more personalized. UVA and Michigan were very inviting, but outta state tuition was double the cost of UCLA.

1) UCLA '10
2) SD, Irvine, Davis, Boston College, Tufts
3) cheaper than private schools, better than the other UC's i got into

1) UCLA '11
2) UC: Cal, Davis, Irvine, SB, SC, Riverside (only applied to UCs lol and I was dumb enough to apply to all but merced for insurance :()
3) Didn't want to spend extra money for privates and out of states when we have Cal and UCLA for instate, Picked UCLA over Cal because I didn't like the campus and atmosphere there when I went to visit on 4-20... also So Cal weather is the best!

1) UCLA '11

2) UC: davis, santa barbara, san diego, berkeley (acceptance to spring '08)

3) you can beat the campus or location. and i live 15min from berk so i wanted to go someplace farther away

1) UCLA '12

2) Cal, UCSD

3) The chicks are so f*ing HAWT

1) UCLA '12

2) USC (hell yeah!), UC San Diego, UC Irvine, UC Riverside

3) I loved the campus, I love LA, I love Westwood, and I could def. see myself there for the next 4-5 years. Also, I have 3 family members who are Bruins so I felt like it was my calling to be apart of the Bruin family :)

1) 2012

2) Berkeley (Spring), Cornell (ILR), UCSD, UCD

3) Not as trashy as Berkeley; better value, not as cold as Cornell

1) UCLA '09

2) Berkeley, Cal State LA

3) campus, atmosphere, environment, less hobos on campus, safer campus, closer to home, doubted that I would get into Berkeley Haas

1) UCLA 2010
2) CMU, UMCP, UIUC
3) probably one of the best schools for an all-around college experience (education and social-wise). Really easy to achieve a good balance here.

1.) UCLA 2012
2.) UCB spring, USC with scholarship money and science honors, UCSD, UCI, UCD
3.) better weather, more fun than berkeley, cheaper and better location than usc. all around a perfect school for me :)

1.) UCLA 2012
2.) Rest of UC's except Berkeley, UIUC College of Business
3.) Attractive campus, attractive people, attractive overall

1) 2012
2) UCSD
3) got rejected by berkeley, close to home, awesome area, seems like a perfectly balanced school in terms of people, academics, sports, and social life.

Cheesecake, some mighty fine cheese cake too.

1) UCLA '12!

2) Cornell, USC (scholarship), UCI, UCSD, Berkeley, UMich, NYU, Barnard, LMU, Chapman, Pepperdine

3) Best fit for me re: location, academics, social life - no doubt about it!

1) UCLA 2012!

2) UCSD, UCI, Cal Poly (didn't apply out of state)

3) Love the location, weather, lifestyle -- a good balance of social life and academics. Also, it is the best fit for me, and the best college I got into for my major in terms of undergrad experience.
