YO MOMMA turned down Vassar.
<3 from Bryn Mawr

I turned down Duke, Arizona State University, and the University of Arizona for Vassar.

Tufts, F&M, and Connecticut College

Wesleyan, Tufts, and a half tuition scholarship from Carnegie Mellon. I sure hope I like it at Vassar!

London School of Economics for one...
Yaay Vassar!

Georgetown, NYU (with merit scholarship), University of Washington Honors Program, and Emerson.

Vassar is going to be AWESOME.

middlebury, tufts, haverford, conn coll

middvsvassar, wow.

haverford, mt holyoke, smith, skidmore, and weslyan

Tufts, F&M, Carnegie Mellon, Georgetown,....sheesh - - those schools are all so totally DIFFERENT from Vassar, why were they even in the same mix?
I hope you visited Vassar - if you liked it then, you'll love it now.

Well...you have to have someplace to go if you don't get into Vassar!

Seriously, in defense of F&M (my alma mater) I would suggest it is worth a look as a backup choice to Vassar for some students. The theater and music performing spaces are new in the last years and are really very nice. Obviously there are fewer students involved in those areas than at Vassar so opportunities to participate may be greater for those who will not major in those areas. Lancaster is a superior city to Poughkeepsie. Not that I encouraged, due in part to the frats at F&M, my daughter to take the merit scholarship instead of going to Vassar (her 6th choice) which is a great place.

The only thing we ever found wrong with Vassar is that her brother didn't get in last year when it was his first choice....

tufts, BU, rice, emory
