I wannna transfer ASAP

No he's saying that he was a big party person and he knew that PSU was a big party school which is what made him apply and accept in the first place. there were probably other reasons but that seems to be one reason at least he went there. now he isn't a party person, and he wants some tranquility (at least more than he's getting at PSU). That's what I got from what he's saying.

If that's the case, he'll be perfectly fine here.

Thank you for all your input. What do I do about the SAT II situation though? They weren't required for Penn State, so I only took the biology one my sophomore year. However, they are required to transfer to NYU I believe, but I doubt I am allowed to take two now?

I am a girl btw ahha.

To tell you truth...I have no idea about the whole SAT II situation for transfers. Sorry about the gender confusion.

So among the 40,000 undergraduate students at Penn State you can't find anyone with interests similar to yours? I think that you should give it a full year before deciding to transfer schools. There are going to be students partying to some degree anywhere you go. You need to be able to find your own way at any school.

It isn't really that I hate partying so much. I just don't like the atmosphere here and I would prefer to be in a city, rather than at a school in the middle of nowhere. My interests changed so much since when I applied.

Sometimes it's not that you can't find anybody with similar interests in a school with 40,000 people, but rather it's the fact that you're going to a school with 40,000 people. Personally, NYU and G-town made my list, but Penn State... eh, not so big on that one. I hope that the OP is able to make the right decision and everything works out for him!

She'll like it here.

What's wrong with partying? Just kidding, my sister is going through the same situation as you are NYU. She goes to USC and feels that the school isn't her fit because she feels there isn't a huge academic crowd. To answer your questions about transferring, colleges look at your grades AND EC'S!! Because your activities will set you apart from other competitors and it shows you can obtain a balanced lifestyle. Colleges just looking at grades is the biggest myth. I hear this statement alot and it makes me sick. What's not a myth is that alot of people lose their scholarships. I wish you the best of luck NYC ;)!

for sat IIs if nyu requires 3 then you better have 3 ... you can still take tests up until your sophomore year of college i believe.
