I am an Asian American from a poor family with parents that did not attend high school. I would be the first one in my family to attend college. I also am fully fluent in 2 languages (Chinese and English). Please tell me if i have a chance in reaching these colleges

Dartmouth is a high reach to out of reach
Cornell is a reach
the others are high matches except Rutgers is a safety as you state.

What do you mean by a “high match”

I’m new as well, but I believe it means that it’s like a reach, but less so. You have a better chance of getting in than a high reach, but a low match would be like a safety school.

It is a spectrum.

Your SAT scores are a tad low, in my opinion. If you want, you could apply regular decision and take the SAT/ACT in December so that you have a chance of better scores? Everything else is pretty strong!

Should i improve my sat reasoning? What should be my target score?

2250+ would make you a better candidate.

So i get above a 2250 on my sat, i would have like a 10% chance of getting into dartmouth? I wanna apply there ED

Be aware that places like Dartmouth and Cornell are reaches for almost every applicant. You certainly should want to improve but they are still reaches for applicants with a 4.0/2250+/32+ just to let you know. They’re tough to get into for almost everyone.
