UF/Miami **

This is a troll post, no one is this lame.

When I went to PSU, I partied Wednesday-Saturday nights. It was easy because all of my classes were from 1-6 in the afternoon. Just enough time to get over a hangover and get ready for the next night! :) Oh yeah I had a 4.0, but I'm a PR major soooo

dude, no offense, but UCF students have nothing to do but party.

that's cool, and i'm loving every minute of it.

lsat and gpa...

I partied 2-3 nights in the fall and 4-5 nights in the spring. I also took 5 classes each semester, was pre-med, had a 3.84, was a varsity swimmer, and was in Senate. The key is to know when you need to quit for the night and head to bed. Sometimes you have to skip out on those last couple games of pong or a drunk visit to Pita Pit.

is pita pit good? this girl wanted to go with me but i thought it was all vegetarian and stuff so i didnt go

I love Pita Pit! They set up a Gyro stand on the street near campus that has all the bars and a drunk gyro at 2am is one of the best things ever!

I second iwannabebrown, classics is a much easier major than latin and probably more interesting.

It's very good. It's not vegetarian at all (although it is a LITTLE hipster in some places.) But the food there is really good. They have some sort of chicken (insert some greek word here) pannini that's really good.

Going to school in Michigan means that you can probably party whenever and wherever you want... And no, that's not a complement.

But if you want to party that often, you might as well not go to college.

Pita Pit is always the best. Order the buffalo chicken wrap, I would get it every day if it weren't for the fact that it wasn't on meal plan. Their hours are very convenient too as they stay open super late.

maybe U of Michigan should have a new major called "party" just for him?

It's called 'communications,' lol :P

I don’t go to UM. It is a great university, and it is also a large university. That is, regardless of how good it is, its sheer size will mean that even if there is a low percentage of students who come to party, that low percentage could translate into a fairly large number of students. Therefore, if the OP wants to party every day of the week, I see no reason why he can’t.

I go to Georgia Tech and study business. If I were not interested in attending an elite graduate school for Ph.D. study, my life would be so easy. I would probably only need to study two hours a day in order to earn an 80 average for all of my classes, which would give me a 3.0.

Personally, I disapprove of going to college with the primary intention of partying. I don’t think the OP is joking, and I don’t think he’s unique, either. He and his likeminded peers are one of the reasons why “college is the new high school” and “the Masters is the new college.”

I think you're looking for a "classical civilizations" major, not a classics major. A classics major has both greek and latin languages- the greek makes it much harder than a latin major. The classical civilizations major just has courses in english.

I agree with what others have said; if you're just looking to get a 3.0, and you are efficient in doing your homework and studying right after class, you should be good to go.

"come out and play some rugby. Nobody parties harder than we do."

True. Rugby teams throw the best parties. Ultimate frisbee is a close second.

Majors known to be easy or limited out-of-class requirements: marketing, management, communication studies, languages. Education and nursing majors are also known to party hard, at least freshman and sophomore years.

Yeah those rugby guys are pretty crazy. At a lot of schools they have their own house.

I wonder why someone who just wants to party would choose U of M over MSU... interesting... I'll add a vote for Communications though.

omg what the hell kinda question is this? if u wanna go out and party the whole week then GO AHEAD! will u seriously pick a major based on how much ur gonna party? it's called time management! i swear this question is just silly, maybe you overanalyze stuff too much so chill!

I'd say about three quarters of my floor last year participated in a little tradition called "Smoke-Out Wednesdays" (which, in the spring, was a little more like "Crunk-Out Wednesdays" and, well, "Smoke-Out All Week"). That group included biology, computer science, history, psychology, political science, mathematics, and physics majors. While I won't claim that my floor collectively had the highest GPA on campus, a combination of intense/efficient studying, epic time management, and a schedule lacking Thursday classes meant that no one really bombed and still got to party 3 days (or more, hah) a week.

It just goes to show that where there's a will, there's a way. It might require you, as it did one of my friends, to write some pesky philosophy papers not in an entirely sober state of mind at 3am on Tuesday night (though he claims quite firmly that the use of a certain plant probably improved his writing/grade in this particular instance), but such is life.
