What kind of schools should I look into?
What are some inexpensive schools that offer good education and summer programs?

Some info:
-I am a rising asian female senior
-3.7 GPA
-not so good SAT but will raise to near 1900s soon
-will take AP Bio and Physics upcoming year (predicting 4s on the exam)
-took regular Chemistry (school didn't offer any other Chem class)
-not interested in Ivies

Thanks!

bump. bump. i need major advice. please?

You should try reposting this in the college search section. Where are you located? Virginia Commonwealth University has a strong premed program in addition to very strong med programs. Not too expensive either, especially if you happen to be in state. I’d look into public research universities that have strong premed programs.

There’s also William & Mary (phenomenal premed programs, great stats for grads going into med fields). Also - Baylor U.

Totally up to you. Since your goal requires going through med school I suggest you find a school that will allow you to get the highest gpa, has research opportunities for undergrads, and be able to volunteer.

Mr. Bojangles, do you know of any schools that offer those opportunities? Schools that are preferably in urban areas? I am searching but having a hard time, so some help would be much appreciated.

You’d probably be better off searching/asking in the pre-med forums. Familiarize yourself with med school requirements. You can go to pretty much any school you want and major in anything you want to get into med school.
