<p>hello people... my name is Hamza and i'm from Lahore
i have a typical O/A level background
i want to ask you people about my chances of getting into ivy leagues.
here's my list
I had 9a*s and 1A in my olevels
have played tennis for 8 years. have played many national level tournaments and have won some provincial level tournaments.
I was class prefect from class 5 -8.
my subjects in alevels are Physics, chemistry , math , and further mathematics.
my transcript is fairly good...all A's throughout A1 except for a B in Further Math.
i have written many articles for magazines and have taken part in a poetry competition aswell.
as for social work, i did an internship with Akhuwat(internationally recognised NGO) and am still working with them.
i have also done a 3 day EMS(emergency medical services) course.
have taken part in few mathematics competition(but not the olympiad)
i haven't done any MUNs or Parlimentary debates. i dont know if that sets me back
SAT score of 2090 on first attempt(will try again in October)
preparing for SAT 2
So guys can you tell me how my chances are looking. please give candid answers so i can try to improve. What more do i need to do to get into Yale, for example

<p>MIT is not Ivy League … and by the way you stand a good chance. One Suggestion - "if ur expected family contribution is relatively higher … u might get into some. " good luck :)</p>
<p>haha…yeah i totally forgot…and i dont get what you mean by the last statement…are you saying that it depends on how much my family is willing to pay ??</p>
<p>Hey, I think there are a lot of applicants like you who apply to MIT and such top colleges. But those who get into them are the ones who aced their interviews! believe me they reject 95% of applicants after the interview…If you are good at giving an impactful interview you are in…</p>
