I want to know if I'm qualified for California State University.

The three requirements posted on the website are:
-A high school diploma
-A qualified eligibility index
-Subject requirements.

I'm pretty sure I met the first two of those requirements but what I'm not sure of is the subject requirements. Does this mean that I had to have these courses below taken in high school? Here are the requirements:

A: History/Social Science 2 years Including one year of US History and govenment
B: English 4 years
C:Mathematics* 3 years (Algebra, Geometry, and Intermediate algebra)
D:Laboratory Science* 2 years (One Biological, one Physical; both with a lab)
E:Language other than English* 2 years Subject to waiver; must demonstrate equivalent competence
F:Visual Performing Arts (VPA) 1 year Must be a year-long VPA course in a single area
G:College Prep Elective 1 year Selected from the above areas or other approved A-G courses

I think I took most of those classes but I'm missing a few.In high school I wasn't always good in Math. The only math courses I took are Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Logic and Reasoning (lower geometry), and Geometry. 4 years total. I may also be missing something in Laboratory Science. In h.s I took Physical Science, Biology, and Human Physiology. But that's it. The requirements say that they both must be with lab but I'm not really sure what that means. Can anyone please fill me in on this and let me know if I'm qualified with the classes I took.

Thanks!

bump…

https://doorways.ucop.edu/list/ can show you which courses at your high school count toward the a-g requirements (these are the same categories for UC and CSU).

CSUMentor has more information about applying to CSU, including how to calculate your GPA and eligibility index.

But it looks like if you have not had Algebra II or a higher math course, you may not meet the math requirement.

why wait until now to apply? you should of applied early in october. i have found out csu’s accepting students first come first service. what is your gpa and sat scores?
