Yeah, it's good to be so near to Brown. On the other hand, it's possible to be TOO near. One of the reasons I didn't choose Harvard was that it was 15 minutes from my house.

Cheesecake - Had it for the first time a year ago. Pretty good.

Indian food - Like I died and went to heaven.

I hope Providence has some good restaurants. The place I went to when I visited was good.

So you are nearly in Cambridge? I like it there. The Harvard campus is nice (Harvard was probably my second choice).

there's a greek restaurant (andreas?) on thayer street that's really good.

there's also a cheesecake factory at the mall.

You mean "The Cheesecake Factory"?

I suppose you must lol That's where I had my first piece.

I ate at the Cheesecake Factory at Baltimore's Inner Harbor Saturday night and split a chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake slice with my ladyfriend. It was deeeelicious, though I'm more of a cheesecake coated with raspberry sauce kind of guy.

And for the record, the Cheesecake Factory offers more than just the best dessert on earth--they have delicious dinners and that sort of jazz. Chicken alfredo was amazing.

Yeah, the food isn't bad, but it's kind of pseudo-gourmet. And overpriced.

It is fun, though, with large portions and tastey food. I'd go again!

Yeah, I live about 15 minutes from Cambridge. My friends and I go to Harvard Square on the weekends. It's an interesting mix of homeless bums, punks with green hair who don't realize the eighties are over and intellectuals in black peacoats. Nothing like Harvard Square. Except maybe Thayer Street.

Funkyspoon, we ought to start a club at Brown for writers rejected by their English teachers. I don't see any evidence of poor writing in your posts, so don't let some crappy English teacher lead you to believe that you can't write.

I see why you didn't apply to Harvard, soccart7...too familiar, I guess.

Yeah, it was familiar. But I also liked Brown's "educational style" and philosophy better. I felt more comfortable around the kids and more relaxed in general at the school. I think Brown has a creative, anything-goes type feeling that Harvard doesn't. It also focuses on undergrads :).

Yes, yes, I love Brown, too :)

I Love Brown So Much That I'm Going To Devote This Whole Post To Repeating The Point You (and I) Just Made :d :d :d

It feels like so long before next August, though... :(

I want Brown, now lol

Incidentally, are you going to A Day On College Hill?

It will come soon enough. Well, I guess I should enjoy the last eight months of being pampered by my parents and not worrying about my future.

Yeah, probably, but you're not, right?

i love brown so much, but i will be a filthy poor student next year.

...my mom just lost her job, about 10 minutes ago. :(

aw, that sucks, neither of my parents have jobs right now

Oh no. That sucks. I hope she gets another one soon.

"I should enjoy the last eight months of being pampered by my parents and not worrying about my future."

Yes, this is true. I should, as well.

I was thinking...why is Sharpe Refectory called the Ratty? I am ignorant of many things Brown.
