Me too!

I plan on taking the highway 50 (I think it's 50) across country from San Francisco to Maryland (or thereabouts). It retraces the old covered wagon trail!

That's awesome! I was going to take Route 20 from my house to somewhere in CA. I spend a while trying to trace it on mapquest, but I lost it in chicago somewhere. I'll find it. I can't go until I'm at least 21 though. And it sucks because by then, I might be too responsible feeling to waste a whole summer on my awesome road trip.

Wow this is great because I've always wanted to drive across the country too! My best friend lives in MA. So we've been trying to figure out a way for me to go visit her or the other way around. Either way, we did a mapquest from her house to mine and I believe it only takes 54 hours or so. :)

wow i really want to take a cross-country road trip!! i should research it, though, so i sound as knowledgable as you guys! :)

but you know what's cooler? in our local newspaper, there was an article about this girl who graduated from my high school 2 years ago. she goes to _____ university, and she and 30 other kids are raising money and BIKING across the country this summer to raise money for affordable housing! how awesome is that?! and guess what school she goes to?! =)

That is pretty cool! My old english teacher hitchhiked around and stayed in hostels for almost a year. Too bad hitchhiking isn't safe anymore.

That is really cool, funkyspoon. I have no idea where she goes though. Hmm...
