Hye, here is my status so far. I'm currently a junior.

Taking all IB/AP classes. Haven't taken the ap tests until May. I always loved to be a leader, and that is why I want to major in business. And I definitely do have business skills. Anyways :

SPORTS:

Business Newsletter (Editor)
Key Club (Advisor)
CSF
Computer Accounting and Entrepuenrship
----- as you can see, I did not join start and joined these clubs just so that I can make my transcript look good, but so that I can really adapt my business skills and leaderships. I really love what I am doing, and I know that being a leader is something that I really love!

Activities Outside the School:
I probably spend most of my times at my church: (Activity coordinator, choreographer for the big events, Youth Group leader, and Bible Study Teacher)
As you can see, I have tons of things to plan out, and coordinate. I have to go to church every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, and do my duties until late night. But I love what I'm doing. This also counted as community service hours so it really benefited me. (around 300 hours)
Community Service Program- helping out the people who have dementia and who are blinds, give them some activities to do, and we also play with them. (around 200 hours so far)
Library- (Served 50 hours of community service hours)
Key Club- (100 hours)

Business Related Activities Outside The school:
Internship at my friend's dad's TRM company (engineering and machine)
Internship at GATEWAY ACADEMY
Started my own gumball machine business (growing progressively)
Worked at Baskin Robbins, Beauty Supply, and OC FAIR

Someone had too much coffee this morning.

Maybe I'm just biased, but if you cut out church, you'll have a lot more time...

It doesn't matter what you did in high school as long as you get admitted. If you want to major in undergrad business, you'll have to apply to the Haas Business School at the end of your second year of college.

You are an easy in at Cal assuming you can do well on the SATs, yet your ECs are maybe more like Ivy caliber...perhaps you should consider upgrading?

^^ To have a shot at the Ivies (besides Cornell anyway) he should get 2250+ on the SATs, minimum. I'd say 2300 safe, and all SAT II scores in the high 700s.

That's the difference between Cal and real Ivies.

(And you know, you guys are really making me regret coming to Berkeley by saying that..especially since I applied out-of-state. What a waste.)

Saying what? It is known that California residents receive preference in UC admissions.

^ Yeah, but before I came to Berkeley, I had a really good impression of its students and reputation. Yet now every in-state California resident seems to diss it....so I ask myself, why did I come here if the Californian residents find it "easy"?

Aww don't feel bad NeedAdvice. Just because it's easier to get in (notice that Berkeley's undergrad is huge yet I think it's still in the top 20 most selective undergrad in the nation...somewhere around there) doesn't take anything (much) away from its quality of education.

NeedAdvice- ignore petty people who don't matter to you. You will be a happier person.

UC Berkeley, U-Penn, Stanford... I really want to major in business and creative writing

If you actually want to study business, going to almost all the non-Wharton UPenn undergraduate programs would be like going to almost all the Stanford programs- you can take some business classes, but you aren't really able to study too much business.

If you are out-of-state, I say avoid the hype and go to a top ranked business program that will give you attention. UVa is a liberal arts type public school. UT has a great honors business program. Both have top 5 business programs and will guarantee you the major unlike Berkeley.

With what I know now, I can't think of any reason why anyone out of state would want to go to Berkeley unless they have a lot of money and didn't get into anywhere better.

looks like someone got it in the haashole and is a lil ancy about it

Looks like someone is being a typical berkeley student and making idiotic, spurious claims.

looks like someones gonna get a visit at Columbia Law  Stay tuned, budddddd

Who says I'm going to Columbia Law?

You did. Frequently.
