Hi. I am trying to make a TAG from a CCC this fall. My first choice is UCI for BizEcon and on assist.org it says you need to take 2 quarters or one semester of Calc. On the TAG Brochure for UCI it says you need a full year of Calc. Does that mean I am disqualified from making a TAG? I am going to fufill all other prereqs by the end of Spring 2011.. But for fall 2010 I'll still be finishing up my Pre-cal prereqs for Calc. (I'm on the quarter system) Therefore I can't finish the "full year of Calc." So do I have to just apply without a TAG?

I'm also nervous about getting into UCI because of my GPA is on the border of 3.0.. I am trying hard to maintain my GPA/increase it by fall though.. Therefore I want to make a TAG. Thanks :)

You can’t make a TAG agreement with them if you’re not going to be finishing the Calc requirement. It outlines it clearly on their site.

it’s at the very bottom. In addition to the TAG reqs (I believe it’s IGETC?) you also need Bs or better in Micro and Macro, as well as a B in Calc.

Truthfully, a 3.0 is stretching it, but best of luck to you. If you want, you could try UCSD. You only need to finish up Pre-calc for the IGETC and have over a 3.0. Their Economics/Management Science/Economics with a joint major in math program is consistently ranked near the top. iirc, it’s ranked higher than UCLA for econ. M.S and Econ w/ Math is basically business economics.

3.0 without Cal? Auto reject for sure. Not trying to be harsh but that’s how it is. Try to bump your GPA up a little because 3.0 is really pushing it. >.< How about summer class?
