This thread is a template/how-to-guide for everyone who wants to be chanced on this site:

Info: (Here, insert your ridiculously high GPA and SAT/ACT scores. Most importantly, however, you have to say that the scores are mediocre-at-best)

ECs: (Insert the fact that you cured cancer here. It would probably be good if you mentioned the AIDS cure too, but it's optional)

Target Schools: (Here you have two choices: a) write down "every ivy" or b) write down "local community college." It really doesn't matter; people will tell you that you won't get into either)

Now, all you need to do is write a sentence or two about how you have no self-confidence, and that you're using this site simply to show off your amazing high school career, and you're done!

Thanks KY Crusader. I'm applying Duke ED...so we'll see how that works out.

I COULD write down all of my info, but that would probably make me a hypocrite and sellout. I'll keep it short and sweet:

GPA: 4.2
SAT: 680/690/720 Total=2090 (waiting for Thursday scores)
SAT II: 800/780
ACT: 34/33/31/27 C=31 (taking next week)
Recs: Good
ECs: Good...way too lazy to write them down
Essay: Who knows? I think it's good...but then again I'm the one wrote it

If anyone tries to chance me with this little information I'm going to laugh.

Seriously guys...to anyone who goes on these forums looking for chances, remember this: nobody can chance you better than YOU. If you're asking for chances on this site, you've already looked up the middle 50% range for SAT/ACT for your target school, you've already checked GPA average for that school, and you've already assessed your EC/Recs.

That being said I chance myself as a reach. I'll have a better idea of my chances in 54 days.

Turksouttacyprus, are you from Cyprus? I spent my summer there and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the Turkish side (Kyrenia, Famagusta, and Salamis) wasn't as nice, but they spoke better English.

Madboy121, according to my extremely complex algorithms, your chances are 23.56752276%. Yes, it's that accurate. :D (In all seriousness, good luck.) I would add a second group. These are the people who say that their SAT score is X and their GPA is Y and then ask for a list of potential schools.

Maybe I'm a hypocrite, but that rings so true - and yet I am hungry for chances!!! I am one of those lame people who one day is like oh I'm in everywhere and the other day I'm like omg I need a confidence booster, even though I know my stats are fine.
