Are you accepting admission?
It depends

I was deferred, my scores suck but academically I’m a really good student I missed all testing dates for the remainder of this year and I just want to know what I could do to hopefully get accepted. I emailed the head of admissions and she said the most I could do is take the test as soon as I can and to submit my first semester grades. Any other tips? PLEASE HELP!

Work hard to keep your first semester grades up as much as you can. I do know a few students who got admitted to different schools a few years back after sending in very good first semester grades.

Do you have a safety as a backup?

There are many Florida universities that would love to have you with that GPA! UCF is getting harder and harder to gt into, but deferred just means they want to look at you again when the next round of applications arrive. Don’t give up hope - it is not a no! But as the above contributor suggested, make sure your first quarter grades are on par with the rest of your academic record and submit those grades to admissions. If your standardized test scores are very low, you might want to ask admissions if they have a minimum requirement. Good luck!

You need to improve that SAT score. You could have a killer application, but you likely won’t get admitted since the average SAT for UCF is around 1320. Try your absolute best to get at least a 1200
