I was deferred...

I just had my interview, and my interviewer had access to ssome information about me online (what school I applied to, etc.) Im thinking she might have seen my decision because I got the vibe from her I didn't get in...she was very concerned with comforting me in the case that I didn't get in (she told me that it's not always about how qualified u r and that its random)...does she have access to this info or am i just paranoid?

i think you are just paranoid

it'll be okay!
I swear it was nothing

You're just being paranoid.

My interviewer told me the same things (about qualifications/how random college admissions can sometime be because it's so competitive now) when I was applying RD, but I think it was just to make sure I understood that admissions wasn't a sure thing and that many people who are qualified to get into Penn will end up being rejected so it doesn't necessarily mean you weren't good enough to get in, but just that the school didn't have room for you.

The interviewer wouldn't have access to that information, unless they were a regional admission director or higher up.

My interviewer said, "Yeah, you seem like a great applicant, I hope you get in...blah blah blah." There wasn't any comforting.

Paranoid. Interviewers get some basic information about you--school to which you applied, expressed major--and that's it. She has no access to admissions committee deliberations or decisions. Sounds like she was just trying to gently prepare you for the rough waters that seem to be a big part of today's admissions decisions.
