I would love to attend Tufts. I had a few concerns :

I am an International student and I need almost full aid. Does Tufts provide generous amount of aid to Internationals?

My essay drafts seem to love the dust-bin. I just keep writing and chucking. Its like a loop. Writing-Chucking-Writing. People dont have ideas about what to write. My problem is I have too many ideas! And I dont have anyone to talk to here. I am probably the first person in my whole family (starting from the apes) wanting to study in the US. My English teacher is on leave due to some medical reasons, so no help there. And parents arent actually helpful, they want me to study here in India. I dont blame them. Its common here that people think studying in US only for the elite people. So no help there either! I have seen a lot of helpful posts around here. I am sure I’ll be able to put an end to the loop above ;)

Tufts meets 100% of the full demonstrated need of all admitted students. And this includes international students. If you are admitted, your financial aid package will cover the entirety of the difference between what your family can comfortably pay and our tuition. If that's everything, then you'll get a package that covers everything.

Be aware, however, that financial aid for international students works differently because of Federal laws, so the process is more competitive. I'm not saying this to discourage you - you sound like an intelligent, motivated person with a sense of humor who isn't afraid to break with convention (qualities anyone would like) - but to help you realistically frame your options.

Essay advice... If you're having trouble narrowing your essay choices down, I'll provide some framing that may help you cut a few ideas. Remember that we are an academic institution. We are interested in your mind: how you think, how you process the information around you, how you learn, and then what you do with all that. Try to help us see "ajayc the intellectual."

Pardon my ignorance but only the tuition?

-Cover the entirety of the difference between what your family can comfortably pay and the combination of Tuition, Room & Board, and other essentials (think textbooks).
