Piano at National levels, playing for 12 years
Competitive swimming, 8 years
Staff writer for school newspaper</p>

-Volunteer work as a Lifeguard</p>

<p>I have a good reason for my low overall GPA, since I had a family problem junior year and I fell extremely sick as well. </p>

<p>I think UCB and UCLA would be a reach, because of your GPA. But if you have a valid reason, write it in your essay (your grades should be solid sophomore year and pretty bad junior year, if that’s when the problems arose)
UCD and UCI I think you have a pretty good chance of getting into, especially because of your SAT and extracurriculars. Though you’re not guaranteed in.
I’m pretty sure you’ll get into UCSC.</p>
