Most high schools (and colleges) do this:
90-100 A
80-89 B
70-79 C
60-69 D
Below 60 F

But my school had the "tough grading system"
93-100 A (No A+s!!!!)
85-92 B
75-84 C
70-74 D
Below 70 F

But we still do 3.0 = B, 2.0 = C, etc. Meaning that if I get all 92s then my GPA at this school would be lower than GPAs at most schools. And the lack of A+s makes me angry.

My school too. U are not alone. Nil desperandum- do not despair…

They don’t care about your GPA. They care about your transcript. If your school uses a different grading system than most others, then they know that and will factor it into their admissions decisions.

ADDITIONALLY, it’s not like every school uses some universal grading rubric and some schools just have different cut offs. A work tends to be A work, and if you get a 92 at your school, who’s to say it wouldn’t get an 88 or an 89 at another school?

Sometimes the grading system may be adjusted due to the rigor of your school.

That is true… though, I think wecan all agree that the strange system does confuzzle things… ;)
