i wonder wat uc i can get into?

so i am a junior turning into senior next year and its time to worry about colleges.

i have a 3.2 unweigthed GPA, 2050 SAT1, 800 Chineses, 770 Biology, and 710 Math lvl 2. i finshised 5 AP's/honors throughout these 2 years. i've also done alot of community services and intern at caltech. i am on swim team starting soph year.

so i wonder if i can get into any uc's? or wat other decent colleges i can get into?

Thanks

And like I’ve said to quite a few people already, you should retake Math Level 2 if you’re planning on sending it. But maybe someone will actually disagree with me this time.

Your GPA would definitely make it hard to get into the top tier UCs, like UC Berkeley and UCLA. It doesn’t seem like UCs consider extracurriculars as much either, though of course that could help.

I think that you should be able to get into UC Santa Barbara, at least. Probably Santa Cruz and Irvine and Davis as well.

Your SAT is on target for UC San Diego and UCLA, but unfortunately your GPA might limit you to San Diego. Berkeley might be a stretch, as your SAT is on the low end and GPA is definitely on the low end.

You are more than qualified for Davis, Irvine, and Santa Barbara. And you’re practically a shoe-in for Riverside, Santa Cruz, and Merced. However, you may get rejected from any one of these 6 if the admission officers think you’d choose SD or UCLA. That’s why sometimes really great applications get rejected from places like UC Davis.

i almost forgot that i am also interested in majoring in biology field so…

Then you have a good shot at everywhere except Davis. Everyone wants to do biology at Davis. Who wants to do biology at UCLA? Not many. They all want to do film and english. Lol.

Haha thanks for the info. I kinda want to get into UCLA or SD. U thinks decents essays will enhance my chance to get in?

I hope your essay writing doesn’t look anything like your post writing…

lol come on this is a forum how formal do u expect me to write?

As formal as you can. You have to realize the gravity of the situation; all your posts made on the internet in this day and age can be traced back to you. Employers will often look online to see how you act. It’s a smaller world now. Anyone can find anyone on the internet if he is willing to put in the time. Plus, people tend to be more willing to help when you write acceptably and take care of your “appearance”. If you are not willing to put in the time to help yourself, who will?

Your SAT, math score, and GPA could be higher… but your biology and chinese scores are great.

Chance me back?

What is your UCGPA? That seems the bottom line for UC’s, although a lot else is considered.

Starting at the "bottom ",

How does the ELC (eligibility in the local context) fit into this discussion for UC’s?

I am just learning about this and curious if it gives a nice bump for admissions to Cal, UCLA, …

^No, it doesn’t.ELC students have a higher admit rate, but it’s not because they are EC. UCSD might give points for ELC, and maybe some others.
