IB Chem Test?

How many here have heard.. or taken the IB (SL) Chemistry test and passed it?

If so.. how was it and did you take it after one year or two of taking the class?

same question only on HL chem, how in the world is that test marked? what kinda questions are asked and what kind of people do you think can do well on it.

Hmm.. I doubt many people will know.. since hardly anyone in the US knows about the IB Programme.. with that in mind you need someone crazy enough to test Chem.

You are correct I do not know too much about IB courses, which leads me to ponder are the two test structured the same or are IB tests more difficult to pass?

Standard Level (SL) = 1 year

Higher Level (HL) = 2nd year

The higher level is usually taken after a year of the SL class (Chemistry being the exception which in most schools it's a two year course itself).

Some people will claim that when taking both AP and IB tests.. they thought the AP tests were considerably easier. I can't give my personal opinion on this statement since I havent taken either test (I will be taking two IB tests this year).

anyone??? ...

I took IB Chem SL last yr. It was one yr course, and I had to take SL becuase I was junior. (all the ppl in class took SL exam)

I received 6 on the exam... I was rather surprised lol (I think it was my lab grade that helped me :P)

It's not difficult as long as you know all your concepts and have done a few practice exams.

Ah, btw. kids in my class were encouraged to take AP chem exam. Many received 4/5.
