So I just realized I'll be taking ALL of my SL/HL exams in senior year.
People say doing so is a living hell.
I'm taking SL: comp sci & math
I'm taking HL: Spanish, physics, English, and history of the Americas.
then I'm taking regular choir.

Any advice?!?! My counselor recommends 3 exams junior year and 3 exams senior year. But so many of the students in my class, including me, have found that this is our situation. Soo...has anybody ever done this? Any advice? Please? I'm kind of scared lol

I’m in the same boat as you basically. I’m actually going to take seven tests. (Certificate testing in IB Music).

SL: Music, German, Math
HL: History, English, Chem, and Psychology

I don’t know if my advice will be great, since I’m a senior this year too. However, my older sibling surviveds and she also took all 6 of her IB tests in her senior year (HLing 4 of them). Yes, she did get her IB diploma.

From what I observed, she had a pretty normal life. I mean, there were several weeks where she lived in front of her desktop, but she’s pretty happy now at a good university. She just told me to not procrastinate at all (which I do) and to not stress out too much. There’s no point in stress, unless its motivating you not to procrastinate.

Also, how important is it that you receive your IB diploma? Are you planning to attend a university not in your country? (I’m assuming you’re from the US, but just in case…) If not, I don’t think you should worry about it. Most to universities only give credit for a 6 or 7 on an HL exam, which is pretty crazy in my opinion (Took a couple of AP tests, wasn’t very hard to make a 4 or 5). Also, your diploma isn’t really going to snag you any recognition after college from what I hear. Just relax. From your worrying, it seems like you’re a good student, so I’m sure you’ll do great.

Sorry if this is really crappy advice. I just really relate to a fellow IB student!
