IB Diploma + Regular Physics or IB Art

Hiya guys!

So I’m a current IB diploma year 2, and this year I decided to be ambitious and also take AP Physics. Funny story how that goes, but let me give you the summary and just tell you it sucked. And my grade wasn’t bad in the class! It just took so much time away from my diploma work and left me with no sleep. Thus, I have recently decided to drop the class. At our school, this won’t show up on my transcript or hurt my GPA at all as long as I change classes this week, but I am debating about what class to take in replacement. For years, I have wanted to be a biophysicist or applied mathematician in the defensive sciences. However, because no one else but me signed up for IB physics in our diploma group, there was no IB physics to take, making me resort to AP Physics senior year. If I take regular physics, then I have that physics experience for college plus a study hall (with my extracurricular activities, trust me: I need a study hall). However, I can also take year two of IB art and get full credit. I love art and it isn’t even close to a stressful class and is an IB class. But I’m not looking to be an artist. To give you a snapshot, I’m a high GPA and test score kid looking at getting into an Ivy or other top college like Duke, Williams, or UChicago (but that’s not the point here). To continue my path to try and get into one of these schools, which is the best class to choose in your perspective?
