I am an IB student doing my extended essay in literature. I know roughly that it will be on the Brontes (Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall) and that I will be examining the Gothic style and the theme of redemption. However, I'm not exactly sure about how to tie it all together into a thesis that answers a "research question." Does anybody have any suggestions?

Hehe, I've always wondered how people make research about literature, etc.

For my national leaving examinations I had to do something similar to IB's extended essay (43 pages / biology) - but since my paper was about a science topic I can't help you.
However, your topic sounds very open -- maybe too open. I recommend you to narrow it down.

Aren't there old essays from your school which you can read?

GAH. Extended Essay = death.

We have deadlines at our school and our Rough Draft is due JUNE 1. Have I actually started writing the thing? no.
