Hi,
So my counselor just submitted my predicted grades.
The requirement in IB is three subjects at higher level and three at standard level. I have four higher levels and three standard levels (a seventh subject outside diploma)
These are my grades:
Math SL - 7
Swe A SL - 6
Eng B HL - 7
Chem HL - 7
Econ HL - 7
Biology HL - 7
Physics SL - 7 (seventh subject)
How much does this correspond to in the GPA system?
Physics does not count in my diploma so my predicteds are 44/45.
Hi there,
We had the same situation with my son as he was an IB student in a non US school in a country with no GPA system.
My son had similar predicted grades (five 7s and one 6) and was ranked 1/100 at his school. His counsellor submitted his GPA as 4.0.
In your case the argument is even stronger as you have the additional predicted 7 in SL physics (the fact that it won’t form part of your final IB diploma total is not relevant as GPA is the sum total of your high school grades so physics is part of that).
@Longdistancemum Thank you for the answer!
