I know IB tests are graded out of 7, but does anyone know how they do the curve. Is it based on everyone in the world who takes the test, or only the people in your region? the reason why i am asking is because there is a lot of talk about how different countries have different educational systems at different levels, so is an IB score really more of a grade on your country's education instead of your own?

i’ve been looking everywhere even on the ib website and cant find anything on how the curve is formed

If your school has an IB program, the Coordinator should be able to answer that question. I think these forums mentioned an international curve - try an all-forum search.

It depends on the test, I’m pretty sure, but I remember my bio teacher telling me it used to be on a bell curve (the top 2% get a 7, the top 10% get a 6, something like that) but it’s changed since then.
