IB score during the school or predicted grade while college application?

Hi,
I want to know what matters more in the college application.
Is IB score during the school (like during junior and senior first semester) more important or
IB Predicted grade more important?
Look, I did really bad in my first year of IB and pretty sure I can bring up the marks by alot.
Please help me out.

Definitely your IB score during school. American universities really care about internal grades so getting a good predicted score won’t help much (many don’t even look at predictions). But if you are applying from abroad the way your predicted score is looked at may differ because of the difference in curriculum.

Doing badly (how bad? - B/C/D’s??) the first year is quite damaging to your application but if you bring up your grades the upward trend will be looked upon favourably by adcoms.
