I am going to getting back my IB scores this summer and am planning on doing quite well, or so I hope. I was wondering, if I don't do an amazing job on the SAT II next Fall, like if I get aroudn a 700 on them, will very good IB scores in the same topic cover that up?

I might be taking Math II, Literature, and U.S. History SAT IIs next fall, and I am not sure how well I will do. I think I will get a 6, 6-7, and 5-6 on the respective IB Tests, so, would that be enough to cover up not so amazing SAT II scores?

Yeah, different testing formats. Same reason why a kid can get a 22 on the ACT, and a 2200 on the SAT. The kid is still plenty smart, but is just better at one specific test.

First, I don’t know what makes you think otherwise, but on most tests, a 700 is a good score. That being said, as long as you don’t completely tank the SAT IIs, I think they’ll just reinforce your good IB scores.

Second, standardized tests rule! They’ve been so kind to me And I personally don’t think they’re THAT different.

Ask the prospective schools if they actually consider IB exam scores. I’ve never seen any US college’s admission literature mention sending IB exam scores, which is what you would need to do to have them considered.
