ice skating in santa monica

i heard that there's an ice skating rink somewhere in santa monica opened for the holidays. when is it going to close? does anyone know? do they have a website?

otherwise, the nearest rink is...culver city?!

sry for starting a new thread. again.

hides in the corner

umm yeah theres one on 4th street by the promenade the city has opened it for a while

San Francisco Restaurants, Dentists, Bars, Beauty Salons, Doctors

Also, ask your RA about it. I don't know how common it is but two floors from my building last year arranged a ice-skating program sometime during that winter quarter.

my building had one last quarter but we went to culver, not a big fan of people there lol little kids yell "Go trojans, Go SC and UCLA suck" at us at times :)

regarding the open skating mentioned in santa monica and in culver city, when did u guys go? was in crowded? could someone do tricks w/o trampling/hurting others?

Culver City has a decent amount of people at night, even on a school day. I think I went Thursday night, and there as many people there as you would expect at a bowling alley on the same night.

the santa monica one was awesome. open air. im still not entirely sure how they did that.

i think it's open until the 4th. i could be wrong though.

i drove by yesterday and it was still open.

small rink.

yay! maybe i'll check the santa monica rink this wkend if i have time. is there an indoor facility for skate rental? i really want to bring my friends but they make excuses such as:
1. i have no skates
2. i can't ice skate

gaah!

or i can go alone but that is the last resort. i like exploring!

i would love to go as long as it fulfills one of the following requirements:

networking opportunity with prestigious businessmen

earn some money at least $20 an hour

if the girl that i like goes (highly doubtful)

free food of reasonably decent quality (no fast food)

free stuff worth at least $20 an hour

free ice skates

what happened to
7. ****ing enjoy life

what is the rink's size? normal?

srsly. and how do you network with presitgeous businessmen at a public ice skating rink??

rink size is smaller than usual aka hockey rink.

networking with prestigious businessmen at public ice skating rink is slightly creepy.

anyone here play ice hockey? I've played since I was like 3 and I'm looking for a few people who might be interested in getting some ice time?

so big blue bus #2, right??
wheee excited!!

i wish more ppl can ice skate in cali b/c it's so hard to find ppl to come w/ me; i haven't yet. is it more of a midwest thing?

definitely more a midwest thing..

I can ice skate, but I don't really want to go. DWM, you live in RT right? Have we met before?
