so I am having trouble with the ethnicity section on my college apps.
My father is Colombian, Born there and grew up there. While my mom is German. I know that when it asks if i am hispanic or latino i obviously would click yes, and when it says to describe my spanish background i know to put South American. However I'm confused when it asks for how i identify myself. Honestly I look pretty white regardless of being 50% hispanic. I have green /blue eyes, light olive skin and light brown hair and most people who meet me can hardly tell I'm even hispanic. However my family does have many spanish tradition and we celebrate many aspects of spanish cultures so i would have to say i identify myself as latino and white. However i feel like putting white as how i identify my self will put me as a disadvantage and people have been telling me to not even check anything off in that section because there is no latino option. What do u think i should do?! should i just leave it blank or click white?</p>
