Okay so I really want a college that has a strong mathematics program and it needs to be in NY, NJ, Maryland, or Ohio. I don't really know how to decide on the size of the school. It also needs to be able to allow double major in applied math and geology. I also may like ROTC programs in navy or air force but haven't quite decided. I really want a college with an abundant amount of intramurals. Also it can really be any price and Im a pretty smart kid like valedictorian of a tiny class haha but I have some potential and I probably wont have a problem getting accepted but I would prefer to go to a school that I could be considered a smarter kid possibly but I don't want to be surrounded by people who are like all really not that smart or don't care. So any ideas of where I should look (also coed, no religion.)

where are you in your math studies (suggestions will vary depending on your math level: pre calc, calc BC, or differential equations don’t lead to the same math program!)
SAT or ACT scores
EFC (will need need based aid? no financial need but do you want merit aid?)

Look into University of Rochester. Maybe Case Western Reserve too.

What can your family afford? What is your home state?

To do this we’d need to know GPA, SAT/ACT’s, and EC’s at a minimum. SAT II’s and AP’s/IB’s(if any) would be helpful too.

Maybe the University of Dayton would be a good fit. Excellent school for engineering and great ROTC program with Wright-Patterson being close by.

My gpa is like a 98 on a 100 scale and I got a 27 on the act I can afford probably anywhere I want but I don’t want an Ivy League and I think I want to do a dual major in math and economics I also would like to study abroad and home state is New York and I’m taking pre calc and calc for distance learning courses at my scho that will give me college credits I guess if the university or college allows them to transfer

I don’t know much about math, but the non Ivy NY colleges with ROTC and a strong geology program include SUNY Albany, University of Buffalo, and Syracuse.

Ignore that post. I looked at schools with Army ROTC programs (not Navy or AF) or nearby those which do.

Most colleges with engineering schools will have good math programs. Rutgers, etc.

Okay thanks Ive been looking into those places. I just wanted to see what others thought.
