IDOC and their BS

Stanford requires the IDOC for financial aid information. However, my parents do not plan to file their tax return until the very last moment; they refuse to do it prior to the Apr 1 deadline for personal reasons.

"A completed signed copy of your parents' 2005 federal income tax return, including all required Schedules and all Partnership or Corporate returns, is required if your parents filed or will file a tax return in 2005"

Well, my parents will file, but how can I give these not-yet-existant documents to IDOC? Anyone deal with this before? IDOC will not accept an incomplete application. Everything has to be there according to their FAQ.

Perhaps I should just call Stanford Financial Aid and explain the situation.

Oh happy day, they apparently changed the IDOC submission date!

Submit parent tax statements, schedules, and W-2s from previous year to CSS for electronic transmission to Stanford (IDOC)

April 15

I could have sworn it was March 15 a few hours ago. I wonder if adcom/financial aid are reading these posts. O.o

I don't even know how to sign on to IDOC... are we supposed to send our forms to CSS without CSS asking for them? I never got an email, or mail for that matter, about us having to send in our forms for IDOC. Did you receive an IDOC ID?

You have to fill out your CSS Profile first; an e-mail or some screen will tell you that you need to submit your IDOC, and will provide an IDOC ID number to use to sign onto the IDOC website.

Yea, I filled out my CSS Profile, but I never received the email to obtain the IDOC ID... I guess I'll just email them and see.
