IDOC Dilemna... My father is Unemployed so does he have 1099 forms of any kinds at al

yes so my father is currently unemployed.
my mother does have 1099 form but she is not sure if my dad has one for my parents are not sure of anything when it comes to this tax complicated numeral stuff (this is the plus side of being like the only person who understands english :P)

So for the IDOC, they require 1099 from each of parents and say my dad does not have one, do i just write a note or what do i do?
thank you

Your dad wouldn't necessarily have one just because he's unemployed, but if he has collected unemployment benefits from the state he would have one. If he hasn't collected unemployment benefits he would not have received a 1099G for that income (the G stands for goverment), but he might have received other 1099s for some other reason. Probably one of the most common is for interest earned from a bank account. They are sometimes just called 1099, sometimes 1099G, 1099T, or other letters. They are all still 1099 forms for your purposes.

just talked to my dad again and he says he has no 1099 of any sort...
no money from gov or no nothing.sigh*
i guess no 1099 form right?

Sounds like no 1099s. If you don't have them, you can't send them.
