I was doing my IDOC when I read, for one of my schools, to “Gather all materials to make ONE complete submission to IDOC.” By that point, I had already uploaded 2 documents onto IDOC (separate documents – tax form and 1099). I’m still slightly confused by the wording. Does it mean that I upload one single document that contains ALL components that are required (so I combine my tax documents with 1099 with other signed forms that are unique to each school)? If that is the case, then does CollegeBoard separate the files later on so that each school receives only the things it requires?
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I’M A BIT PARANOID NOW BECAUSE I THINK I’VE MADE A MISTAKE AND I DON’T KNOW HOW IT’S GOING TO RESOLVE ITSELF!!
What they mean, I believe. Gather all of the necessary documents and submit to IDOC at the same time. dont send one now, and another in a week, and another two days later. Send everything at once.
This is all new this year. We always had to mail them in one big fat envelope with the cover sheet and all the documents in order. They can now be uploaded individually as you have them ready. I love it!
We did mail it in last year. It is great that now you can upload a digital version. However, we don’t need to do that this year as my D’s school only need CSS profile from incoming freshmen.
You did not make a mistake. In fact, it would be a mistake to lump all the documents together into one file.
Lumping together is a mistake because different schools demand different sets of documents. One of the roles of the collegeboard seems to be to collect and dispatch exactly those documents requested by each school.
