Do all students send in an IDOC?

Does Brown asking certain students for IDOC have anything to do with decisions?

People who ask for financial aid send in IDOCs.

I don’t think it’s related to decisions since Brown is need-blind, and the financial aid office and the admissions office don’t communicate with each other. I don’t know how true this is in reality since logistically, it would make sense only for Brown to request financial aid forms for students it will accept.

Did Brown ask you to submit IDOC thorugh e-mail?

I wasn’t asked for an IDOC but I applied for financial aid.

I was asked for Parent’s tax income statement though in February.

IDOC is pretty much that…copy of parent’s income tax returns. Probably an excellent idea to give them a quick call.

I wonder if it DOES mean something. Yale asked me to submit IDOC, but Brown did not ask. If Brown WAS asking some people and not me…I have to think that means something. :-(

So I got an email from collegeboard and I clicked on it and it said 1. Brown and 2. Yale were requesting my IDOC, but on my actual financial aid page it says it requests Parents’ income statement. hmmm

well I have applied for aid at brown too. The Portal says that I am supposed to send in my parents income slips. I emailed them and they said ‘At this time we are not requiring the wage statements to be sent. Although they are showing up as a requirement, unless you receive an email from the IDOC program requesting additional information, we should be able to determine based off of your CSS profile your initial eligibility’.

So it depends on your case. It shouldn’t worry you if you were not contacted for it.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it!
