Does anyone know if sending IDOC past the deadline can have an impact on college admission?

I don’t think so. Just call the admissions office or email them and let them know if your IDOC submission is late. I think ours was, or part of it, anyway.

Not on admissions, but if you have been accepted, it may have an impact on the amount of aid you receive - or so I’ve been told.

I read on Dartmouth’s website that they give you $500 fewer in aid (per year?.. I don’t remember) if you submit your materials late. A penalty in other words.

Two questions:

Does Dartmouth have a website where it is possible to verify if they have received all the IDOC components needed?

Is the Dartmouth deadline, the postarked date of dispatch or the official date of receipt at IDOC?

bump… Thx

If you’re talking about IDOC, it’s clearly stated on the website that they post the date they RECEIVE the packet, not the day you sent it.

How can I find out if Dartmouth received all my relevant info from IDOC or if they still consider something incomplete? Do they have a Financial Aid status website I can check? Thx…

Just log into your IDOC page - it’ll show the date your stuff was sent, I’m pretty sure that that’s enough.

Really late reply, but thanks for all the info!
