What happens if your IDOC packet is late?

i sent my IDOC packet by two-day mail last monday, and according to the USPS, it arrived on wednesday, signed for by a mr. jenkins.

unfortunately, my status on idoc.collegeboard.com hasn’t been marked as received yet. i sent an email to them letting them know and they told me that i should give it a few more business days and it should be squared away.

anyhow, my question is: are there going to be serious consequences (ie markedly reduced financial aid package?!) because i missed the deadline by one day? is it unusual for them to take so long updating my status?

thanks for any responses guys, i know i’m probably just overreacting but you know how it is~~~~

I'm pretty sure for college board it said "March 10th or as soon as possible," considering that some employers haven't sent out the appropriate W2s and everything. So I wouldn't stress.

Ummm why would they give you a reduced financial aid package? That idea doesn't make sense to me....

I would assume that the potential consequences of missing it would be that you don't get your financial aid offer until after your admissions decision.

Nothing. My mom called the finaid office because it's already after the deadline but my parents haven't done their tax returns yet, and they said it was fine and just to send it as soon as we can.

alright, thanks a bunch guys :)

mine was late and I live in Boston lol, they just told me to get it there ASAP. So they received it around March 10th even though I sent it March 2nd exactly, there was a snow storm that blocked us for the weekend before..I was freaking out! lmao. You're fine :)
