<p>it matters because a person who is well-informed of their culture will bring more diversity than a person whose not. A black, asian, hispanic, or white who is connected with their respective culture is better than ones who aren't and only use their color to get into colleges easily. and i really hate to say this, but desertman has some validity in how AA "may" create artificial diversity. </p>
<p>and just to make sure, i don't give a flying **** about AA cause i believe college process (especially ivy league) is tough and all one can do is do best on the application and grades and school. so if people want to really know their chances into college, go consult a freakin 8 ball cause ur chances will pretty much be the same as anyone else.</p>
