The title is a very intriguing question one of my classes was ask by our very creative and witty professor recently. It has nothing to do with anything we have been studying or discussing, but I have a feeling it will soon knowing this guy. He gave us some suggested answers like, “rookie, amateur, professional, all-star, etc.” He also told us to be creative and not just copy his suggested answers. Then he challenged us to randomly ask other people this question.
My answer to the question, after several edits, would be: “With my experience and frequent practice, I would say I am probably a multiple time world champion, a multiple time Olympic gold medal winner, and hall of famer in the sport of crying. I would be considered the go-to expert on the subject. I might even make and sell instructional videos on how to improve your skills and excel at the sport.” it’s going to be interested to see where the professor is going with this.
So, fellow college students, as part of my class assignment/challenge, I ask you, if crying was declared a sport, how would rank? I look forward to your answers!
Probably professional. I cry at least once a week on average, lol. The only crappy thing is I live in a triple, so I always have to go to a study room to cry or wait until my roommates fall asleep. It’s a nice way to release emotions and I always feel better afterwards
I’d say I’m an amateur at crying… I only recall crying over schoolwork during my very first semester of college. However, I’ve still got 2 years to go so maybe my skill level will increase haha.
I’m a professional at crying over movies and TV though.
I am probably an amateur. I experience incredible sadness and anger sometimes, especially given recent events, but the number of times that tears have actually come out of my eyes have been few and far between. Perhaps two or three times a year?
Definitely a professional. I boohoo to anything from touching greeting cards, commercials, TV shows and movies. When I watched my now adult child perform in a spelling bee, geography bee, flute solo, or whatever, I was bawling. If I get angry I cry when trying to explain myself (which infuriates me!). I am a big cry baby. But it is a great release, and I also feel great joy.
After everything that has happened in our family the last six years, I find very little worth crying over any longer. So something positive came from our tribulations!
@toris565 I must admit I am right there with you. Pretty much daily. Sometimes more than once a day. I told someone half joking one day last week that I only cried twice the day before, all afternoon and all evening until I fell asleep crying.
