If Engineering desicions are already out...could that mean...?????

So i remember last year kids heard from ucla engineering in late february as well andthen regular decisions came out march 10th i think? Could that mean that this year they will come out march 10th as well?? PLEASE SAY YES!!!!

already a couple of threads like this bannana_girl =)) but one more couldin't hurt, believe me I'm as nervous as you... but last year apparently they got likely letters march 1st, everything else march 10th...that means potentially and likely, we'll get them before march 10th...could be within th enext 10 days again...amazing that its so early after everyone thinking it'd be later than last year!

I Wish you /me luck

ok im so scared im about to start shaking now and for the next 10 days! Afterall...this is my first choice!

Good luck to the both of us, sharptooth, with this year's applicant pool, we need it!

i've seen you freaking out on several threads and it reminds me so much of myself=) I'm not some crazy stat applicant buti really hope they weigh essays /ecs alot this year....ahh more engineers need to post in the other threads with their stats

Haha, wow. I wasn't too anxious about UCLA; rather, I was refreshing the Stanford decision page every second or so.

xP

haha..i dont have crazy stats either :( but i hope they look at my ec's and like me for the fact that im a peoples person =D

yeah definitely, Ive told poeple, I don't think I deserve to get into Stanford, but i truly from the bottom of my heart feel as if I deserve to get into UCLA...so all i can do is hope!

wow sharptooth..i just looked u up and ur stats sound REALLY similar to mine...thats crazy

Yeah Bannana, lets hope people like us are what they're looking for...do you/ anyone else feel like the holistic thing will really shine through and help some applicants this yr? Also, was there a consensus Bannana, on the supplemental thing, I feel like it might be a good thing that we didnt get it, a good sign i mean , cuz based on tohers who got it they seemedlower on the overall qualified scale

ya thats true..im really hoping they can look over those 2 ugly c's on my transcript and my less than stellar 1950 :/

wat sschool do you go to?

i go to a school in NorCal called Harker...its a crazy-a$$ private school in which UCLA is almost laughed upon- only looked at as a safety...so many ppl go to ivy leagues and stuff, berk being the only alternative for them...last year ~60 ( 58-59 i think) got into UCLA....2-3 are now attending, but this happens every year, its almost like a feederish I think, how about you where do you go?

and a 1950 should definitley be enough this year I think/ hope , so don't sweat it Bannana

Bah, such blasphemy to deem that Berkeley is the only other place to go besides the Ivies.

...We're a CC Top University too!

i hope your right sharp..i go to a "Center for enriched studies" in south cali lol its considered pretty competitive but in reality its a B******* school

lool i totally feel you on that one...but yeah all we can do is hope / pray ( if ur into that ; ) ) now...i just really want to know if any "lower" students got into engineering so far!!

More than half the Ivies aren't even worth going to, and I only applied to one. My college of choice is Berkeley, but for most majors, UCLA is comparable to the point where they're equal.... dunno why you want UCLA for engineering, though, unless you love the LA campus.

Oh, man I'm an L&S applicant, but I wnat to know what kind of applicants thyve been accepting

March 10th would be awesome but I'm not going to count on it... I'm sticking with the late March/April 1st thing, and if I find out earlier, great (well, not "great" if I don't get in, but at least I won't be so anxious...)

it's not going to be march 10...
that was the old system.
this is the first year with the new holistic thing, so, basically the class of 2012 can look at when you '11ers receive your decisions, but you can't really look at us '10ers... sorry xD
we were the guinea pigs for the new SATs and you're the guinea pigs for the holistic app... so we've all gone through some uncertainties.
class of '12 may not have any such curveballs, but, they ARE a huge class!
we get what we get ;)

holistic approach is pretty much bs, its impossible to sort though 50 k applicants holistically.
