If HSL was an actual High School...

It should be located in a place with all four seasons. A beautiful scenery, and near a city. Having it in New England will make it seem too “preppy” and “elitist” so not a great place.

The Midwest or West coast doesn’t sound to bad.

^ Maine. Maine isn’t preppy like the rest of New England. I’ll also posit that having it in an area of rugged beauty like Mount Desert Island would give it a sort of “backwoods utopia” vibe and room to grow

… because this **** is real, y’know
and I’m very patriotic to my home state

I guess ya’ll don’t like the South too much.

Virgina isn’t a bad location for the school.

^^Having it in Mount Desert Island will be great place. Also because of that we should add an Environmental Science course.

I was thinking Texas or GA.

Why not in a different country like Iceland? Secondly, what would the student to teacher ratio be? And finally, does this school offer Ph. Ds?

We’re basically HS/College wrapped in one.

^^Yea but, its a public school (I think), so it will have to be in the US.

I think Oregon would be a great place for HSL High. Not preppy or conceited, beautiful, not ridden with debt, has all 4 seasons.

I second Texas, and suggest DC.

Don’t get our funds from government, because they’ll mandate what we have to teach, lowering the quality of instruction.

So it should be a private. But we will have to charge, so there better be some good financial aid.

No, HSL should be located like in that movie, Sky High. Floating in the clouds and whatnot.

We could just have repeat Nobel Prize minimalist winners who donate all their money to us. :)

Hahaha, I love that idea actually! Then we could be suspended in thin air all day long… though I wonder how we’d have phys ed then.

Is PE really necessary for us? We’d burn enough calories just from thinking our high-level thoughts.

Symbolically, we’d truly be above the “others” (TJ, Stuyvesant), at the “highest” possible level, haha. (Shout-out to anyone also looking at symbolism in AP Lit right now).

^ Yeah plus, a lot of people would be hard-core athletes!

Would HSL High be a boarding school?

^ That’s what I already asked. Since there would be eager students from all over the world wanting to go.

^^I was just about to say that!

my answer: would be => look at a boarding school: case in point (see two above posts for case then point)

I’d be valedictorian. obvii

Class flirt?

What would the superlatives be?
