If I am waitlisted...

Will Columbia ask to look at my 3rd quarter grades? Will I even have the option of sending or self-reporting them? Does Columbia even care about 3rd quarter grades for wait listed students?

I'm wondering because my second quarter is about to end soon and well...senioritis is really starting to plague me and I'm really starting not to care at all lol for the rest of the year.

Are you waitlisted early decision? If you are, then they will only look at first semester grades because people waitlisted for ED will be looked at again along with everyone else applying regular. does that make sense? IF you get accepted after being waitlisted for ED, then yes, they will definitely look at 3rd and 4th quarter grades. so don’t slack!

There is no such thing as getting waitlisted ED. ED has three outcomes: accepted, denied, or deferred. Waitlist refers to a situation after RD.

If a WLed student wanted to get off the waitlist, strong second-semester grades would be helpful.

No I mean for RD, which is the round I applied to for Columbia.

Oh wait, I just realized after a search through this sub-forum that no one was taken off the waitlist last year I think. So I guess there’s no real point for me to continue after 2nd quarter thanks to senioritis.
