<p>I guess you should at least put yourself on the mailing list… other than that, I don’t know. I’m wondering the same thing.</p>
<p>I thought when I applied, WashU told me they don’t consider demonstrated interest. I think talking with the admission office for your state would probably be the best idea, as he/she is the one who looks at your application.</p>
<p>I was under the impression that WashU values demonstrated interest a lot. I hear that applicants that demonstrate interest in terms of campus visits, mailing list, etc. get a certain degree of preference. That may be completely false information, but that’s just what I’ve heard.</p>

<p>I didnt show any interest and I got in. So, dont worry too much about it. WashU accepts around 4000 students every year and I dont even think half of them showed interest.</p>
<p>Your scores were probably high though, but I do agree that many students would get in without showing interest.</p>
